Stay for an overnight

Make the trek to the middle of nowhere and maximize your opportunities.

We'll load up a 4-wheel drive and meet you before dawn at Camp on the Boulder, 40 miles south of Big Timber on the main Boulder Road. Right about the time we trade in the 4-wheel drive for the Snowcat, which will take you to the top of Independence Mountain or Baboon Mountain, the sun will be making its grande appearance in the high country.

We'll load up a 4-wheel drive and meet you before dawn at Camp on the Boulder, 40 miles south of Big Timber on the main Boulder Road. From there, we'll take you beyond the end of the county-maintained road, into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. By the time we trade in the 4-wheel drive for the Snowcat, which will take you to the top of Independence Mountain or Baboon Mountain, the conditions will be near-perfect in the high country.

Snowboard At the 10,000-foot summit, choose your downhill destination. We'll pick you up at the bottom and return you to the top for another run. Expect to make 3 or 4 runs a day, depending on your skill level and the snow conditions.

Ski or snowboard all day long in pristine, remote conditions, then spend the night in one of our wilderness yurts or cabins.

During the day, a hot, hearty lunch will be provided. In the evening, enjoy a hot meal over an open fire and fortifiy yourself for tomorrow's first run after breakfast. Plan to return after dark in the late evening.

If you don't have time for an overnight, consider a day trip.
