Deer are ridiculously abundant in our area. Hunters often comment that they have never seen so many deer. Both whitetail and mule deer favor river valleys and creek bottoms, and the Boulder Valley is a sweet spot for these beautiful species.
With hunting leases for both wilderness areas and large parcels of private property, we offer both high-country and ranch hunts, on horseback or via 4-wheel drive.
Mule deer average 22-24 inches; whitetail deer average 130-140 class. We will usually get 2 or 3 mule deer bucks in the 28-inch range and a couple of whitetail deer in the 150-160 range.
Deer archery season runs from the first Saturday in September to the Sunday before the general deer/elk opener .
This ranch or high-country hunt uses 4-wheel-drive vehicles or horses and offers a good chance at your choice of mule deer or whitetail deer.
During the 37-day period that ends on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, hunters may hunt with a rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader, traditional handgun, crossbow, or archery equipment.
This fully guided ranch or high-country hunt uses 4-wheel-drive vehicles or horses, depending on the terrain..
